Rivers Bridge State Historic Site marks the site of one of the Confederacys last stands against General William T. Shermans sweep across the South. Of all the Civil War Sites in South Carolina, Rivers Bridge is the only site home to a preserved battlefield.;A ¾-mile guided trail details the Battle of Rivers Bridge by way of interpretive panels along the trail. Ranger-guided tours of the site, which includes still-intact earthen fortifications, are also given throughout the year.;HOURS AND ADMISSION;-Admission: Free admission;-Days and Hours of Operation: 9am-6pm, daily;-Office Hours: 11am-noon, daily;-Tours: Free guided tours are available on a daily basis. Visitors may take a self-guided tour by reading the waysides stationed throughout the park.;PETS;-Pets: Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.
